Con Dao Prison- A Special National Relic

Con Dao Prison, where some 20,000 Vietnamese revolutionaries died during the war against the French colonialists and American invaders, is one of the parts of the country's history in freedom fighting.
Con Dao relic (Ba Ria-Vung Tau) is an archipelago, consists of 14 islands and islets, about180 kilometers from Vung Tau, 230 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City. Visitors can travel by helicopter or ship to Con Dao.




Con Dao há become a historical relic, where detained soldiers fighting for freedom of the country. The historical site has a prison system with 317,140 m2 in area, including two iger cage suites, built by the French colonial period, the U.S imperialists and Saigon puppet.
 

Besides, Con Dao also has a national park with cool climate all year round, beautiful beaches to develop tourist attractions. Con Dao prison has just recognized as National Special Relic at 23rd March, 2013.
