In
the framework of the National Tourism Promotion Programme 2013, VNAT
wants to popularise the image of Vietnam – a peaceful, hospitable and
attractive destination to tourism markets in Germany and the Europe.
This year’s five-day fair draws the participation of over 10,000 tourism firms from 188 countries across the world and is expected to greet around 170,000 visitors.
Addressing the opening ceremony, German Chancellor Angela Merkel consideredITB “a gate to the world”. She expressed her hope that the exhibitors would win many contracts and attract lots of visitors to their pavilions.
