Many
people know the Central Highland with the Se San River, or aggressive
Serepok River, but not many people realize that the land of sun and wind
also produce the most spectacular waterfalls. And one of those most
imposing waterfalls in Pleiku-Gia Lai is Phu Cuong waterfall
At
the distances of 45 kilometers southeast of Pleiku city, Phu Cuong is
considered as not only a grand and mighty waterfall but also an natural
eco-tourism resort that makes a strong impression on both domestic and
international tourists. Coming here, the steepen stairs together with
the sun of Central Highlands can make tourists feel dizzy, but their
fatigue seems to disappear just needing to put their foot to waterfall
rocks ground. The white foam waterfall flows down from the high of 45
meters that makes it consider as a soft-silk crossing the blue sky; and
sometimes, tiny droplets in the wind rush in and smooth on tourist’s
face. And the most wonderful beauty of Phu Cuong waterfall is when the
sunlight shines on leaves, flowers, and especially the flow of water
below that make to light up the fanciful rainbow. Moreover, the
luxuriant and diversified vegetation, pure atmosphere together with the
melody of water slipping through crevice of rocks and bird singing to
call partner are really special features of this land.
Phu
Cuong waterfall flows on the lava base on an inactive volcano. The foot
of the waterfall is full of numerous magmatic rocks with different
shapes; and species of colorful wild flowers grow in between the
alternating wet stone. In addition to a virtual sound of the falls, the
scene is almost “absolute silence”. Waterfall flows to La Peet stream
and flows into the Ayun River – where the Ayun Ha irrigation with water
reservoir area of approximately 3.700 hectares was built. Sitting on
boats down the line La Peet River and out to the Ayun River, tourists
can go of the hook, enjoy mountain sightseeing and visit the village of
Ba Na and Gia Rai nearby as well.
